Troupe Program

Senior Troupe(13-18)

Senior Troupe is TADA's flagship performance program and highest level of musical theatre training. Through a fully staged Broadway Junior production each school year, dedicated performers refine advanced singing, acting, and dance skills within a culture of professional expectations, artistic excellence, and ensemble leadership. Students are challenged to reach their highest level while preparing for lifelong participation in theatre or future post-secondary training.

A fully staged Broadway Junior production

Senior Troupe provides TADA's most advanced training and production environment. Students refine their artistry through demanding repertoire, individualized coaching, and professional rehearsal expectations while taking ownership of their contribution to the company. Students experience:

  • Rehearse and perform in a fully staged Broadway Junior production
  • Learn and retain demanding music, scenes, choreography, and production sequences
  • Participate in advanced vocal, acting, dance, and physical training
  • Perform melody, sustained harmony, and independent vocal material
  • Develop nuanced characters through script analysis, research, and rehearsal
  • Apply acting methods to increasingly complex character and stylistic demands
  • Refine complex choreography, blocking, transitions, and production staging
  • Integrate singing, acting, and dance while sustaining technique and artistic intention
  • Work confidently with professional production elements and backstage practices
  • Receive individualized direction, advanced coaching, and artistic feedback
  • Take on principal, featured, and ensemble responsibilities while supporting the company
  • Perform for live audiences in a fully produced theatrical performance

Troupe Placement

Audition Information

Senior Troupe students are placed through a supportive audition process so each performer can train at the right level with confidence, challenge, and care.

The purpose of auditions

This is a supportive assessment, not a pass-or-fail test. It helps the teaching team recommend the best learning environment where each performer can be challenged and successful. Students may receive recommendations to join other classes.

Audition Process

  1. 01

    Book a trial and audition

    Choose an available Senior trial session to begin the placement process.

  2. 02

    Prepare one song

    Select a song that feels comfortable and shows the student's voice and personality. View audition material here.

  3. 03

    Prepare one monologue

    Choose a short piece the student understands and can perform with confidence. View audition material here.

  4. 04

    Attend the in-person group session

    Students take part in their trial class, ending with a group dance audition.

  5. 05

    Attend the private audition

    Students will perform their song and monologue, and receive a 15 minute coaching session with our faculty.

  6. 06

    Receive a placement recommendation

    The teaching team follows up with the troupe level and next steps recommended for the student.

Important Dates 2026/2027

These dates are extremely important for families to keep in mind when registering for this program. Students are expected to fully attend all classes listed, unless otherwise discussed at the beginning of the semester.

Fall Semester

Theatre Rehearsal Day: December 12th, 2026

Fall Theatre Performance: December 13th, 2026

Winter/Spring Semester

Professional Photo Shoot: May 1st-2nd, 2027

Troupe Musical Production Week: May 31st - June 6th, 2027

Tuition 2026/2027

Your tuition includes all class instruction, teaching materials, theatre show visit major costume and prop pieces, uniforms, theatre rental, professional theatre technicians, professional theatre makeup artists, professional photo shoots, microphone rentals, and educational theatre experiences, including professional productions and workshops.
