Audition Information
TADA auditions are a welcoming, thoughtful placement process. They help our educators understand each student's readiness and recommend the learning environment where they can be challenged, supported, and successful.
A trial class and $25 audition fee are required for Troupe consideration.
The trial introduces students to the classroom and provides the group dance experience. The 15-minute audition is a private coaching session with our teaching staff.
Audition Process
A supportive, complete picture of each student.
The process is designed to feel clear and encouraging. Students are not expected to arrive finished; we want to see their readiness, potential, and response to coaching.

Book the regular trial and audition together
Choose the student's age-appropriate regular trial class, then add the $25 Troupe audition fee in the original checkout. An audition cannot be purchased without its corresponding trial class.

Join the group dance audition
The trial class also functions as the group dance portion of the audition. Students learn and participate in class material alongside the group.

Attend the private coaching audition
Auditions take place from 4:00–6:30 p.m. on each trial day. Students receive a 15-minute session with the teaching staff to present a chosen song and monologue, receive direction, and improve the work. Families reserve a place rather than an individual appointment time; TADA determines the order on the day.

Receive a placement recommendation
Families receive regular-program feedback and a recommended placement directly after the trial. The teaching team communicates the Troupe decision within 24 hours.
What to Prepare
Choose the package for your troupe level.
Students may bring their own chosen song and monologue. Each package includes preparation limits, what to bring, and what to expect. A student may sing a cappella or bring their own backing track on the day; materials do not need to be submitted in advance.
Intermediate Troupe

A serious ensemble commitment
Troupe students are expected to arrive prepared, participate fully, practise between rehearsals, and contribute positively to the ensemble.
Reliable attendance
Rehearsals build on one another. Consistent attendance is essential so every student and the ensemble can move forward together.
Show week is mandatory
Families should reserve all required rehearsals, technical calls, and performances during show week. These dates are a mandatory part of the troupe commitment.
