What families say about TADA

A TADA ensemble reaching toward the audience together

“My 15-year-old daughter joined TADA's Senior Musical Theatre Troupe. Ms. Helen and her team of professional teachers gave her a lot of help in building her skills. She was a shy girl, and now she has gained a lot of confidence showing herself on stage. Thank you, Ms. Helen and your wonderful team!”

Trial class questions

What to expect before, during, and after your child's trial.

How long is the trial, and what happens?

A trial class runs for 90 minutes. Please arrive 10 minutes early. Students meet the teachers, warm up, and work on singing, acting, and movement before a final group performance for parents. The class also includes a snack. A parent or guardian must remain onsite.

Does my child need previous experience?

No. The regular trial welcomes beginners, and teachers adapt the material to the group's age and experience.

What should my child prepare?

Preparation materials are emailed after registration and include a lyric sheet, practice track, and information about the song. At least one 15-minute review is required; two separate 15-minute sessions are recommended. Troupe audition students must also prepare a song and monologue using the audition package.

Can parents watch the class?

Parents watch the beginning of the trial, then remain onsite in the waiting room to learn more about TADA's programs while students rehearse. Families return for the final group performance, where photos and videos are welcome.

My child is interested in Troupe—what should we book?

Book the regular trial class for your child's age, then indicate Troupe interest during registration. The regular trial is the group portion of the audition. The $25 individual coaching audition takes place between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m.; families reserve a place in that window, not an appointment time. It must be added during the original trial checkout. Primary students may request special consideration for Junior Troupe. Pre-Primary registrations do not include a Troupe option.

Does a trial commit us to enrolling?

No. A trial is standalone and does not reserve a place in a regular program. If your child enrols in a regular TADA program afterward, we'll apply the trial class fee to your tuition.

What happens after the trial class?

Families receive individual feedback and a recommended placement after the trial. If you decide to continue, TADA will send the registration steps and help your family get set up in the parent portal. Troupe decisions are shared within 24 hours.

Can we cancel, reschedule, or receive a refund?

Cancel more than 48 hours before the trial for a full refund of the trial and audition fees paid. Within 48 hours, payment is retained, but TADA offers one reschedule and transfers the existing payment to the replacement date. After that reschedule, or following a no-show, the registration cannot be refunded or moved again. Review the complete trial and audition policy or contact [email protected].
