Trial Class and Troupe Audition Policy

This policy explains what families purchase, how cancellations and rescheduling work, and which payments may later be refunded or credited.

Effective July 21, 2026

1. Trial class fee

  • The trial class fee is $22 plus 13% HST, for a total of $24.86 per student.
  • A trial class is a standalone 90-minute class and does not commit a family to the regular program.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes early. A parent or guardian must remain onsite during the trial class.
  • Families receive feedback and a recommended program placement directly after the trial class.
  • Only Troupe admission decisions are communicated later, within 24 hours.

2. Optional Troupe audition

  • A Troupe audition may be added only when purchasing its corresponding trial class in the original checkout.
  • The audition fee is an additional $22 plus 13% HST, for a total of $24.86 per student.
  • A trial class and audition together cost $44 plus HST, for a total of $49.72 per student.
  • The audition fee pays for the audition and coaching session. It is not applied to regular-program tuition.
  • Primary students requesting special consideration for Junior Troupe must purchase the audition add-on.

An audition is a supportive 15-minute private coaching session with TADA's teaching staff. The student presents a chosen monologue and song, receives direction, and works with the coaches to improve the material—similar to a focused mini private lesson.

Auditions take place between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m. on each trial-class day. Families do not reserve individual appointment times; TADA determines the order on the day. Parents may leave during the audition window but are welcome to remain onsite.

Students may bring their own monologue and song. A backing track or a cappella performance is permitted. Students using a track must bring their own backing track on the day. Preparation limits and requirements are provided in TADA's published audition packages.

If a family decides to request an audition after completing the original trial checkout, they must contact TADA. Availability and payment will be handled by staff.

3. Cancellations and rescheduling

  • More than 48 hours before the scheduled trial-class start: the family may cancel for a full refund of the trial and audition fees paid.
  • Within 48 hours: payments are not refunded, but TADA will offer one reschedule, subject to availability. The existing trial and audition payments transfer to the replacement date; no additional audition fee is required.
  • After the one reschedule has been used: the registration cannot be refunded or rescheduled again.
  • No-show: all payments are retained, and no reschedule is provided.
  • TADA cancellation: the family may choose a refund or a reschedule.

4. Tuition credit after a trial

If a student enrols in a regular TADA program after the trial, the $22 trial-class subtotal is applied toward tuition. The $2.86 HST paid on the trial is not credited. The audition fee and its HST are never credited toward tuition.

5. Special August 1–2, 2026 trial refund offer

This limited offer applies only to trial classes taking place on August 1 or August 2, 2026. A student who attends one of those trial classes and does not register for a regular TADA program may have the $24.86 trial fee refunded upon request.

  • The request must be made within seven calendar days after the trial class or within seven calendar days after TADA communicates a Troupe decision, whichever deadline is later.
  • The parent may request the refund during TADA's follow-up through their preferred communication method or by emailing mailbox@tadamusical.com.
  • TADA will initiate an eligible refund within three business days. Bank processing time may be longer.
  • If the student enrols, the family receives the $22 tuition credit instead. A trial refund and tuition credit cannot both be used.
  • If the student purchased and completed a Troupe audition, the audition fee is not included in this promotional refund.
  • The ordinary cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show rules still apply.

Trial classes taking place after August 2, 2026, beginning August 8, do not qualify for this offer. After a later trial class has been completed, its fee is non-refundable.

6. Related terms

This policy forms part of TADA's Registration Agreement, Studio Policies, and Waiver. If a conflict arises, the more specific term presented for the purchased trial class or audition will govern that purchase, subject to rights that cannot legally be limited.
