Registration Agreement, Studio Policies, and Waiver

Trial Class and Troupe Audition Terms

• The trial class fee is $22 plus HST ($24.86 total per student). If the Student enrols in a regular TADA program, only the $22 trial-class subtotal is applied toward tuition; the HST is not credited.
• An optional Troupe audition purchased with the corresponding trial class costs an additional $22 plus HST ($24.86 total per student). The audition fee pays for the staff coaching session and is never applied to tuition.
• A cancellation made more than 48 hours before the scheduled trial-class start is eligible for a full refund of the trial and audition fees paid.
• A cancellation made within 48 hours is not refundable. TADA will offer one reschedule, subject to availability, and the existing trial and audition payments will transfer to the replacement date.
• After the one reschedule has been used, the registration cannot be refunded or rescheduled again. A no-show is not refundable and does not receive a reschedule.
• If TADA cancels the trial or audition, the Parent may choose a refund or a reschedule.
• The August 1–2, 2026 promotional refund applies only to the trial-class fee, only after an eligible Student attends and does not enrol, and only when requested within the published deadline. It does not refund a completed audition fee and cannot be combined with the trial tuition credit.

Definitions

For this Agreement:

• "TADA," "the Academy," "we," "our," and "us"mean Theatre Arts & Dance Academy.
• "Student" refers to the registered student.
• "Parent" or "Parent/Guardian" means the person registering the Student.
• "Programs" includes classes, private lessons, rehearsals, performances, productions, workshops, camps, competitions, virtual instruction, theatre outings, events, and other activities organized by TADA.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in TADA Programs involves inherent risks that cannot be entirely eliminated.

These risks may include:

• physical activity, including singing, acting, dance, movement, running, jumping, stretching, lifting, warm-ups, and performance exercises;
• physical interaction with instructors or other Students;
• the use of props, costumes, equipment, staging, and performance spaces;
• travel connected with performances, competitions, workshops, or outings; and
• slips, falls, strains, accidents, equipment failure, or the actions of others.

I voluntarily accept and assume the inherent risks associated with the registered student's participation in TADA Programs.

2. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and discharge TADA and its owners, directors, officers, instructors, employees, contractors, volunteers, agents, and representatives from liability for bodily injury, illness, death, property damage, or economic loss arising from the registered student's participation in TADA Programs, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

3. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless TADA and its owners, directors, officers, instructors, employees, contractors, volunteers, agents, and representatives from claims, damages, losses, costs, or legal expenses arising directly from:

• intentional misconduct by me or the registered student;
• negligent damage to property caused by me or the registered student;
• a material breach of this Agreement by me or the registered student; or
• a claim made by another person as a direct result of my actions or the actions of the registered student.

This indemnification does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or where the claim results from the conduct of TADA or its representatives.

4. Medical Fitness and Disclosure

To the best of my knowledge, the registered student is able to participate safely in TADA Programs.

I agree to inform TADA of any medical condition, allergy, injury, disability, medication, accommodation need, or other health concern that may affect the registered student's participation.

I understand that failing to provide relevant information may increase the risk of injury or limit TADA's ability to provide appropriate support.

5. Emergency Medical Treatment

If the registered student becomes ill or injured, I authorize TADA to obtain emergency medical assistance, including transportation by emergency services where reasonably necessary.

In an urgent situation, TADA may seek immediate assistance before contacting me. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact me or the emergency contact provided during registration as soon as practical.

I assume responsibility for any resulting medical or transportation costs.

6. Tuition and Payment

• Tuition must be paid according to the payment schedule selected during registration.
• Registration fees are non-refundable except where a program-specific policy presented at purchase provides a refund or where otherwise required by law.
• A place is reserved for the registered student only after registration and any required payment have been received.
• Students with outstanding balances may be suspended from participation until their accounts are brought into good standing.
• TADA may withhold access to Programs, performances, costumes, materials, or other services while an undisputed balance remains overdue.

Monthly instalments are a payment schedule for semester tuition and do not create month-to-month enrolment.

7. Tuition Payment, Withdrawal, and Refunds

Deposit

A Deposit equal to one-third (1/3) of the applicable semester tuition is required to reserve the registered student's place.

The Deposit is applied toward tuition and is not an additional charge.

For families paying by monthly instalments, the Deposit and first monthly instalment must be paid before the Program begins.

Withdrawal Requests

Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing, include the registered student's name and Program, and be emailed to mailbox@tadamusical.com.

The withdrawal takes effect on the date TADA receives the written request.

Withdrawal Schedule

• More than two (2) weeks before the Program begins: Tuition paid will be refunded, excluding the Registration Fee and any non-refundable third-party costs.
• Within two (2) weeks before the Program begins: The Deposit remains payable. Any tuition paid above the Deposit will be refunded.
• After the Program begins but before the applicable withdrawal date: I remain responsible for 50% of the semester tuition.
• On or after the applicable withdrawal date: The full semester tuition remains payable.

The withdrawal dates for the 2026–2027 academic year are:

• Fall 2026: October 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time
• Winter 2027: February 28, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time
• Summer 2027: July 11, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time

The Deposit and all tuition payments received will be applied toward the amount owed and are not additional charges.

If I have paid more than the amount owed, TADA will refund the difference. If I have paid less than the amount owed, the remaining balance remains payable.

TADA may adjust or continue scheduled monthly payments as necessary to collect the amount owed under this policy.

Annual Payment Discount

Any annual-payment discount is conditional upon the registered student remaining enrolled for the full academic year.

If the registered student withdraws before completing the year:

• any completed semester will be recalculated at the standard semester rate;
• the current or upcoming semester will be calculated under the withdrawal schedule above; and
• any remaining overpayment will be refunded.

You will not be charged tuition for any semester that has not yet begun. However, if you received an annual-payment discount, your refund may be reduced to reverse the discount applied to any completed semester.

Medical Withdrawals

Medical withdrawals may be considered at TADA's discretion and may require supporting documentation.

When approved, TADA may provide a prorated refund or account credit after deducting Programs already delivered and non-recoverable expenses.

Non-Refundable Charges

Registration fees and third-party expenses, including costume, production, competition, examination, ticket, and licensing fees, are non-refundable once TADA has committed or paid those expenses.

Nothing in this policy limits a cancellation or refund right that cannot legally be waived.

8. Attendance, Missed Classes, and Private Lessons

Group Classes

Regular attendance supports the registered student's progress, ensemble development, and performance preparation.

When the registered student misses an eligible group class, TADA will provide one of the following:

• a prorated tuition credit toward the registered student's next academic term; or
• private make-up instruction of the same prorated value.

The value of a missed class is calculated by dividing the applicable Program tuition by the number of scheduled classes in that term.

Private make-up instruction is calculated using TADA's current private-lesson rate and may therefore be shorter than the missed group class.

The maximum allowance is:

• Fall Term, September to December: One (1) missed group class
• Winter Term, January to June: Two (2) missed group classes
• Summer Term, July to August: One (1) missed group class

Tuition credits may be used only toward the registered student's next academic term, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and expire if the registered student does not register for the next applicable term unless TADA approves otherwise in writing.

Private make-up instruction must be requested and scheduled in advance, is subject to instructor availability, may be scheduled with an instructor selected by TADA, has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and must be completed within the applicable term unless TADA approves otherwise in writing.

I may request either a tuition credit or private make-up instruction. TADA will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request but may determine the final arrangement based on instructor and scheduling availability.

TADA may make exceptions in exceptional circumstances.

Private Lesson Cancellation Policy

At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a private lesson.

Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are forfeited and are not eligible for a make-up lesson, credit, or refund.

Frequent cancellations, rescheduling requests, or no-shows, including those made with at least 24 hours' notice, may result in the loss of the registered student's recurring lesson time or other scheduling privileges.

TADA and its instructors follow the same 24-hour standard:

• At least 24 hours' notice: The affected lesson will be rescheduled.
• Less than 24 hours' notice: The affected lesson will be rescheduled at no charge and will not be deducted from the registered student's paid lesson balance.

TADA may make exceptions in exceptional circumstances.

9. Illness and Attendance

the registered student should not attend Programs when experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness or when unable to participate safely.

TADA may require the registered student to remain home or be picked up if the registered student becomes ill or cannot participate safely.

Missed classes caused by illness remain subject to the attendance and missed-class policies in this Agreement.

10. School Closures

If Programs are interrupted by severe weather, public-health directives, government orders, facility issues, instructor illness, or circumstances beyond TADA's reasonable control, TADA may reschedule the Program, provide virtual or alternate instruction, combine classes, adjust the schedule, location, or instructor, or provide another reasonable solution.

These interruptions do not automatically entitle participants to a refund or credit.

11. Program Cancellations and Changes

TADA may cancel, modify, combine, relocate, or reschedule a Program because of insufficient enrolment, staffing, facility availability, safety concerns, or other operational requirements.

TADA may also substitute instructors when necessary.

Minor changes to an instructor, classroom, schedule, format, or location do not automatically entitle me to a refund or credit.

A material change is a significant change to the recurring schedule, primary location, delivery format, or another essential feature that substantially affects the registered student's ability to participate.

If TADA makes a material change and the registered student cannot reasonably participate, TADA will offer a transfer to a reasonably comparable Program, an account credit for the unused portion, or a prorated refund for the unused portion.

TADA will determine the available remedy after considering the circumstances, available alternatives, and the portion of the Program already delivered.

If TADA cancels a Program before it begins and does not offer a reasonably comparable alternative, I will receive an appropriate credit or refund.

12. Dress Code

the registered student must follow TADA's dress-code requirements for applicable Programs, rehearsals, and performances.

the registered student must wear clothing and footwear that allow safe and effective participation.

If the registered student does not meet the dress-code requirements, participation may be limited or refused where safety or instructional quality would otherwise be affected.

13. Photography and Media Release

I give TADA permission to photograph, audio record, and video record the registered student during TADA Programs.

TADA may use this material for promotional, advertising, educational, communication, archival, website, and social-media purposes without compensation.

If I do not want the registered student included in TADA promotional materials, I will notify TADA in writing before participation.

TADA will make reasonable efforts to honour written media restrictions. However, TADA cannot guarantee that the registered student will not appear incidentally in group photographs, performance recordings, livestreams, audience recordings, or media captured by third parties.

14. Communication

TADA communicates primarily by email and may also use telephone, text messaging, WhatsApp, WeChat, parent portals, social media, or other communication platforms.

I am responsible for:

• providing accurate contact information;
• keeping contact, medical, emergency, and authorized-pickup information current;
• reviewing TADA communications regularly; and
• notifying TADA promptly of relevant changes.

TADA is not responsible for missed notices resulting from incorrect, outdated, blocked, filtered, or unread contact information.

Important financial, scheduling, and policy notices will be sent to the email address provided during registration.

Joining the TADA Interest List is optional and is not a condition of registration or participation. If I select the separate, unchecked Interest List box during registration, I provide express consent for TADA to send the program news and promotional emails described beside that box. I may withdraw that consent using the unsubscribe option in a promotional email or by contacting mailbox@tadamusical.com. Withdrawing promotional consent does not stop essential registration, payment, schedule, safety, or program-administration messages.

15. Personal Property

the registered student brings personal belongings to TADA Programs at their own risk.

TADA is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged property, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

Valuables should be left at home and personal belongings labelled.

16. Parent Responsibilities

I agree to:

• arrive on time for drop-off and pick-up;
• ensure the registered student arrives and departs safely;
• ensure the registered student is properly dressed, prepared, and equipped;
• keep medical, emergency contact, and authorized-pickup information current;
• treat TADA staff, volunteers, Students, and families respectfully;
• comply with TADA policies and procedures;
• communicate concerns respectfully and promptly; and
• supervise the registered student before and after the scheduled Program unless TADA has expressly agreed otherwise.

17. Student Conduct

the registered student must behave respectfully, cooperatively, and safely while participating in TADA Programs.

Conduct that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsafe, destructive, seriously disruptive, or materially interferes with the safety, wellbeing, or learning of others may result in disciplinary action.

When deciding how to respond, TADA may consider:

• the registered student's age and developmental level;
• the seriousness and frequency of the behaviour;
• any immediate safety risk;
• relevant medical, disability, or support needs;
• reasonable accommodations or support strategies; and
• previous attempts to address the concern.

Disciplinary responses may include a warning, a meeting, a behaviour or support plan, temporary removal, suspension, loss of performance privileges, or dismissal from TADA Programs.

Except where immediate action is necessary to protect safety or wellbeing, TADA will make reasonable efforts to notify me of serious or recurring concerns and provide an opportunity to discuss them before permanently dismissing the registered student.

TADA may require my cooperation with reasonable safety, accommodation, or support measures.

the registered student may be dismissed without refund if:

• the registered student presents a serious or continuing safety risk;
• I or the registered student refuse to cooperate with reasonable safety or support measures;
• serious behaviour continues after reasonable intervention; or
• continued participation would materially compromise the safety, wellbeing, or learning environment of others.

TADA will determine the appropriate response based on the circumstances and its legal obligations.

18. Policy Amendments

TADA may update its studio and registration policies from time to time.

Material changes will be communicated to families and will take effect on the date stated in the notice.

Changes affecting tuition, refund rights, cancellation rights, or services already purchased will not apply retroactively during the current paid term without my express agreement, unless:

• the change is required by law;
• the change is reasonably necessary to address an immediate health or safety concern; or
• the change does not materially reduce the Program or rights already purchased.

Continued participation after a policy change takes effect constitutes acceptance of that change where permitted by law.

Changes to waiver, release, indemnification, medical-consent, or media-consent provisions may require separate consent.

19. General Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that:

• I have carefully read this Agreement.
• I understand the risks associated with the registered student's participation in TADA Programs.
• I understand that this Agreement contains a release of liability and other legally significant terms.
• This Agreement is intended to be legally binding.
• I have had the opportunity to ask questions and seek independent legal advice.
• I voluntarily agree to these terms on behalf of myself and the registered student.

By completing registration, I agree to the terms and policies contained in this Agreement.

Parent/Guardian Declaration

I confirm that:

• I am the Parent or Legal Guardian of the registered student;
• I have the authority to register the registered student and provide the consents contained in this Agreement; and
• all information provided during registration is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

I understand that the registered student's participation in TADA Programs is conditional upon acceptance of this Agreement.

By checking the agreement box during online registration or signing this document, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by this Registration Agreement, Studio Policies, and Waiver.
