Junior Troupe(7–11)

Junior Troupe gives developing performers a more intensive rehearsal experience, extending the skills learned in Primary through production preparation, detailed coaching, and higher performance expectations. Students experience:

• Rehearse and perform in two original productions each year
• Learn and retain longer songs, scenes, choreography, and production sequences
• Participate in expanded vocal, acting, and movement training that supports production material
• Develop sustained characters through improvisation, script work, and detailed scene exploration
• Apply acting skills through theatre exercises, scripted scenes, and ensemble storytelling
• Learn and refine blocking, stage movement, choreography, and performance techniques
• Work confidently with costumes, props, microphones, scene changes, and technical elements
• Receive individualized feedback, detailed corrections, and performance coaching
• Prepare and collaborate as part of a supportive, focused, and disciplined ensemble
• Refine complete productions through preparation, feedback, repetition, and on-stage rehearsal
• Perform for live audiences in fully staged theatrical productions

By the end of Junior Troupe, students should be prepared to:

• Learn and retain longer, more complex songs, scenes, choreography, and production sequences
• Manage focus, energy, and effort effectively while learning and rehearsing demanding material
• Prepare assigned material and rehearse with greater independence, consistency, and personal responsibility
• Sustain a believable character and clear performance choices throughout a complete production
• Integrate singing, acting, and dance consistently across scenes, songs, choreography, and transitions
• Apply corrections efficiently and contribute reliably to rehearsals, performances, and ensemble responsibilities
• Navigate the stage confidently and respond efficiently to standard theatre terminology, blocking, and production instructions
• Meet the increased artistic, technical, and rehearsal expectations of Intermediate Troupe
