How do I book a trial class?
Book directly on the Trial Classes page and choose your child's regular age-appropriate class. If your child is interested in Troupe, book that same trial class and indicate Troupe interest during registration. You do not need to contact TADA first.
Which program is right for my child’s age, experience, and goals?
For group programs, begin by booking the regular trial class that matches your child's age. After the trial, TADA will recommend the environment in which we believe your child will learn best. We consider many factors, including their motivation, goals, experience, and maturity. Families interested only in private lessons should contact us directly.
What ages does TADA teach?
TADA's regular musical theatre programs serve students ages 4–18: Pre-Primary ages 4–6 (JK–SK), Primary ages 6–8 (Grade 1–2), Junior ages 8–11 (Grade 3–5), Intermediate ages 11–14 (Grade 6–8), and Senior ages 14–18 (Grade 9–12). Private lessons are also available to adults of all ages.
Does my child need previous experience?
No experience is required to join any TADA program. Previous experience is highly recommended for students interested in the Musical Theatre Troupe Program.
What is the difference between regular musical theatre classes and Troupe?

Regular classes build foundational, age-appropriate skills that complement and go beyond the Ontario Arts Curriculum. Students complete some preparation at home, but the commitment is moderate.

Troupe is designed for students committed to developing through a theatre arts environment. Students study technique in greater depth and apply it through longer theatre productions and community events. Classes are longer, students take greater responsibility for their learning, and weekly preparation is typically one to two hours—with more required during productions. Theatre tech week in June can involve 10–20 hours at the theatre. Entry into Troupe requires the trial and audition process.

How do we register for a regular program after the trial class?
Families receive individual feedback and a recommended regular-program placement directly after the trial class. Only Troupe admission decisions are communicated later, within 24 hours. If your family decides to continue, we will send an expanded registration form and help you get set up in the parent portal. Your child’s place is confirmed once the required tuition deposit is received.
Do you offer private voice, acting, or dance lessons?
Yes. Private voice, acting, and dance lessons are taught one-on-one. We recommend private lessons for students ages six and older, although younger students may be considered individually. Lessons are also available to adults of all ages. Contact TADA directly to discuss your goals and arrange an introductory lesson.
Where can I find class schedules, tuition, and important dates?
Weekly schedules and tuition information are available on each program's page. School-wide dates are published on the School Calendar. If you still cannot find the information you need, contact us directly.
Where is the studio, and what are your studio hours?

TADA is located at 333 Denison Street Unit 1, Markham, Ontario, L3R 2Z4. Our regular studio hours are:

  • Monday-Friday: 4:00 PM-9:00 PM
  • Saturday-Sunday: 9:30am-9:00pm

A free parking lot is available onsite.

What should I do if no available class fits—or my child has specific learning or accessibility needs?

If none of the available class times work for your family, contact us with your availability. If there is enough demand, we would be happy to explore opening additional classes.

Families can tell us about allergies, learning needs, accessibility requirements, or other relevant accommodations in the registration form's allergy and special-accommodations section. We consider each student's needs individually and work with families to understand what support would help their child participate safely and successfully. You are also welcome to contact us directly if you would prefer to discuss your child's needs before registering. Specific arrangements will be confirmed after we understand the student's needs and the program environment.
